Jon writes Chef for the Department of Homeland Security (USCIS). Our DevOps team uses Chef exclusively for deploying an application (website), supporting infrastructure ( tomcat, jms provider, nosql database, ...), configuring the application, and updating the OS.
Jon has been responsible for the design and implementation of automated component and system tests for enterprise-wide messaging systems. He has served as a lead developer for the automation of build and release procedures for software packages. He has extensive experience transitioning these systems to clients’ in-house development teams. He is an experienced developer with a background in Linux development over the past 10 years. Jon has both a BS and MS in Electrical engineering from George Mason University where researched signal processing and control theory as they are applied to C4SIR.
